Why am I building a cybersecurity company?
Growing up, I saw my dad deal with both the American dream and struggle of owning a sandwich shop. I remember thinking, how is something so simple: getting sandwiches into a customer's hands so difficult? With issues from payment reconciliation, dealing with POS vulnerabilities, and compliance regulations it becomes harder and harder for SMBs to be able to have their businesses thrive.
Working with SMBs has always been a huge passion of mine, from my early days at Visa in the B2B payments space to my days at Uber working with the restaurants team, it has taught me a lot about the lack of infrastructure set up for small business owners to be able to succeed.
That’s where Zifino comes into play.
We are building a cybersecurity software for a third of the price of normal cybersecurity companies that runs pen testing automatically, generating a report within minutes of vulnerability. I work with SMBs on a consult to break down the nuances of technical aspects so that anybody can understand what needs to be fixed, and can even offer remediation support. So now, the million dollar question…
Why is cybersecurity important and why should you care?
(And maybe also… how did I suddenly get from restaurants to the cybersecurity space?)
